Expenso
Track and split shared expenses fairly.
About
Expenso is a shared-expense tracker for people who manage money together. It helps roommates, couples, households, friend groups, and travel companions keep every shared cost clear from the moment it is paid to the final settlement. Add an expense, choose an equal, percentage, or custom split, and record multiple payers when one person does not cover the full bill. Attach a receipt and a short note so every charge has context. Expenso shows current group balances and suggested settlements, helping groups avoid a chain of small transfers and misunderstandings. It also supports comments and PDF reports for a clear history of shared spending. The app is designed for practical, everyday situations: splitting groceries with personal items mixed in, reconciling a group trip, tracking household utilities, or keeping a shared budget fair when contributions differ. Expenso is free to download, with optional Pro features for users who need additional capabilities.

you always have to turn on paid ua you've always got to turn on paid marketing there's varying you know sort of timelines you know over which you have to confront that reality but it is a reality you've always got to turn it on
Organic Growth Always Hits a Ceiling — Paid UA Is a Question of When, Not If
Apps that rely purely on organic hit an asymptote. Eric has advised PE funds on dozens of acquisitions — the pattern is always the same: organic-first teams never build paid UA capability, the business stalls, and the acquirer installs a CMO who triples it via paid. Build that muscle early to avoid the painful forcing function.
Don't mess with something that's really good. We look to refine but the main proposition is already there and there's a lot of users that really enjoy it — we have to continue to deliver on that.
When you acquire a great product, don't overhaul it — refine the edges
A common acquirer mistake is re-architecting a beloved product post-acquisition. Maple Media's rule: if the app already has loyal users, the product-market fit is proven. Day-one focus goes to implementing the Ivory platform (consistent infrastructure) and fixing presentation gaps, not redesigning the core. The value at acquisition is already there — protect it first.
There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
