Chorebound
Make everyday chores fun RPG quests with XP, gold and loot
About
Chorebound is a gamified productivity app that turns everyday chores, habits, routines, errands, and personal goals into RPG-style quests. It is built for families, couples, roommates, and individuals who want a more motivating way to make progress and share responsibility.
Create a hero, set up or join a shared realm, and complete real-life quests to earn XP, gold, loot, streaks, and level-ups. Difficulty-based rewards make bigger tasks feel more meaningful, while optional random encounters and monster battles add surprise without punishing missed work. Quests stay available until they are completed or skipped.
Shared realms make household work visible and fair. Parents can assign chores and manage younger players, couples and roommates can coordinate recurring responsibilities, and solo players can build better habits. Each realm also has a custom rewards shop where earned gold can be exchanged for real-world rewards such as treats, privileges, movie nights, or date-night perks. Progress and heroes sync across devices.
The base app is free, with optional premium upgrades for expanded features and deeper customization. Chorebound is available on both the App Store and Google Play.

free-to-play works if you have really significant network effects... you want as many people using it as possible
Free Tier Expands Network Effects — Gating Access Kills Both Sides Of The Market
Dating is a market with two-sided network effects — women who get lots of matches and men who want more. Gating both sides behind a paywall collapses the network. Tinder let in 85-90% for free so the people others want to match with are definitely there, then monetized the 10-15% who want a better experience. The same logic applies to any app where user density is part of the value.
You can link to your products or to your company somewhere in there, but it should not be the front and center call to action — because then people will be suspicious of your intentions, and they may not react as strongly to what is valuable content.
Bury the CTA — the product link belongs deep inside genuinely helpful content
An overt product CTA in Reddit-style helpful content kills conversion because readers smell the pitch. Keep the link deep inside the post and make the content stand on its own — the click-through rate is higher when the audience has already been helped.
There's a play for whatever you're stuck on.
